Reincarnations

I believe in reincarnation and karma. I believe that most of the time, the things I do will come back to bite me for better or worse. Regardless of the big or small favours I pull for people or the ones they pull for me, I do believe we will get rewarded, we just have to have the heart for it.

I now hold the thought that reincarnation is a second chance at life, and for those who are fortunate enough to believe that the person is a reincarnation of someone they know, it's a second chance to put things right.

The year 2010 has so far been a great year for myself. I cherish the moment I am in. Don't know if that makes much sense, but yes. I'm meeting a lot of new people and making a lot of new friends. This is where reincarnation comes into play. Have you ever met someone, say from High school whom you've never liked etc. etc. and you thought will probably never see again? Great. Well it seems weird but I've been meeting people whom I believe are reincarnations of people of my past. Whether it's a carbon copy of a lookalike or personalities. Whether they are lookalikes of cartoon characters. Mind you, they are lovely people, but I'm starting to freak out and think to myself, whether it's a sign or not. I'll end on that note.

Like I said in the previous paragraph, 2010 has been awesome. I'm in the commitee for BSA at UQ (though I do not go to UQ, who would?). BSA (Borneo Students Association) is a social club which runs events for its members. Sign up fee and all that. So far, we've had the annual market day event and the weekend just past, we had a joint Welcome BBQ, in association of UQ HKSA for members and new members. I felt it was a great success.

My role in the club involves documenting the event in the form of photos and well, what a photographer does is basically network and make everyone feel welcome and not feel excluded, and of course, take photos? Inclusiveness, yes that's what I stand to achieve...freaking teacher talk there. Anyways, I do not do this job alone. My sidekick, as I'd like to call it, C is also a photographer in the club. She's a great person, very funny and bubbly. We like to tease each other as well which makes the atmosphere more enjoyable.

Anyway, took some shots at the BBQ and they turned out great. Had the 15-85mm for the wide shots, but more or less enjoyed more shots with my 70-200mm.

It's up on the facebook site:

Looking forward to the next event which will be Ice Cream night and Movenpick? APril 1st?

Live in the moment and cherish them with photos
